The Event Associate will be the driving force behind all event planning, community activations, and cultural programming at AXP House. This role requires a creative strategist and operational leader who can turn ideas into unforgettable in-person experiences, from panels and open mics to brand launches and socials. If you're equal parts visionary and executor, this role is made for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Curation & Strategy:
Design a dynamic events calendar that reflects AXP House’s values, community, and brand partnerships.
Lead the conceptualization of internal events, workshops, meetups, and special activations.
Collaborate with the Social Media and Partnerships teams to align programming with content and sponsorship goals.
Event Production & Logistics:
Manage end-to-end planning and execution of events, including venue setup, staff coordination, vendor management, and guest experience.
Source talent, facilitators, artists, and partners aligned with our community’s interests and vibe.
Coordinate with bar/café team for any hospitality needs during events.
Community Engagement:
Work closely with members, guests, and collaborators to ensure programming meets the evolving needs of our audience.
Introduce new initiatives like series-based programming, open sign-up formats, or co-hosted community nights.
Operations & Budgeting:
Develop and manage the events budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and ROI tracking.
Maintain event tracking, feedback collection, and performance reporting.
Qualifications:
Experience in event management, cultural programming, or community engagement (preferably in hospitality, lifestyle, or creative spaces) is an asset.
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills — you keep things running smoothly while building great vibes.
Strong network or familiarity with Toronto’s creative, campus, or social scene.
Confident working across functions (marketing, partnerships, café team).
Resourceful, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.
